The About Me section on the website is short, the TLDR (too long, didn't read) version. That's quite enough for some people, and for others, it isn't nearly enough information to decide on booking a Reading with me. So here, I will offer a bit more information.
When I had my first reading with a Medium, it seemed like magic. I had no idea where or how she was getting the information about me. I didn't understand it at all. Fast forward a few years in my spiritual journey, and I realized that I had been doing what she did my whole life, but attributing it to other factors - a vivid imagination, that I was smart, that I paid attention to body language, etc.
The lightbulb for me was the idea that we are all One. We come from Source. Because of this, Mediumship is simply speaking to another portion of yourself.
When we are not in bodies, we have no boundaries. We are Spirit, energy, light. As cool as that sounds, it's one of the reasons Souls choose to enter an embodiment - to have personal space (a body), and privacy (thoughts and feelings). Sometimes you want to be able to think and feel and do whatever you want - well, a human body is excellent for that!
In spirit, all communication is telepathic and mostly thought-form, not language as we know it. So other Souls are not impacted, you have to control your thoughts, feelings, and energy consciously. I know this because I've had Out of Body Experiences and I "remember" what it is like to not have a body. That would be evident to those who know me personally - I'm a bit clumsy. One of my Soul lessons is to become a better body assimilator - I'm sloppy at integrating with my human bodies. Oh well, next time.
When I do a Reading, I see you, your loved ones, and your guides, as an extension of Source - as me. It may be a mind-bender, but I'm convinced this is why Mediumship is possible.
I also don't see my abilities as gifts. I think we all have them. Some Souls come into a life where they forget who they are and do not use their gifts because it meets their goals. Some never realize they have them, some know it and are frightened, some work hard to develop the skills because that was part of the plan. We all have them, but not all of us use them every life.
I'm also not big on proving it to anyone. I would love to be an Evidential Medium and give you data point after jaw-dropping data point, but that's not how I roll. My guides are much more interested in helping you with seeing problems and situations differently, empowering you with a whisper of insight, and reminding you of WHO YOU ARE. So my readings are much more about thinking and feeling than "prove it" information. I do make sure at least one of these "prove its" show up so that you know the rest of the information is for you and you alone.
For example, a recent Reading gave me a metaphor image for doing things the hard way - a young man in a wheelchair at the bottom of a flight of stairs. The Reading was for a woman, so I knew this wasn't her, but I wasn't sure if it was metaphor or actual until my guide turned my head enough to see the wheelchair ramp on the right. Then I knew it was a metaphor. The client got a lot out of my explanation and other information that came through. But "doing it the hard way" could apply to lots of people. So I asked my guide to give me a "prove it." I saw my dog - a black lab - morph into a small white dog with brown spots. The client used to have a large black dog and now had a small white dog with brown spots. Tah Dah! I don't think that applies to lots of people.
So while I don't get lots of "prove it" info, I do understand that it solidifies the reading and will endeavor to get at least one during your reading.
