If you haven't heard that The Event is coming - I'm here to tell you I'm a believer now.
The Event is not clearly defined, but it has something to do with Energy - Divine Energy, and it is all good. Lots of people are starting to get information about it from their guides, through dreams, and through hypnosis. It's possible that The Event will be a physically manifested phenomenon (described variously as a wave of colored energy sweeping over the planet - EVERYONE will see/experience it). This could be overwhelming and might freak people out who don't know what it is. That's where all of us Woo people come in.
Maybe it will happen to people individually - perhaps it will be this physical phenomenon that we will all see (that would be sooooo cool) - or maybe nothing noteworthy will happen at all.
I'm an unusually skeptical Medium. I question myself and the information I receive all the time. Perhaps it's Nursy me, Biochemistry major me (didn't finish that - got an English degree instead), or the replay in my head of my Dad, telling me that I couldn't possibly hear my mom singing because she was dead.
After he died, he came to me saying, "Why didn't you tell me about all this?" Well, Dad, I did, but you called bullshit.
I am a Medium, a psychic, and an Empath. I don't do anything with crystals or cards or any of the other esoteric things that abound in the spiritual community. I am uncomfortable if I have no direct experience. I much prefer speaking from a place of been there, done that. I've been out of body to heaven, I've been in past lives. And now I've had an Energy experience like no other before. Wowser!
On March 29, I had just awakened from sleep but had not opened my eyes. I became aware of writing, not in my mind's eye like I usually see things or the vision that is "through my eyelids." On the back of my eyelids, on black background, these words:
YOU ARE AT THE EVENT
The words were grey, but I could see them. I thought, "What event? I don't see an event. What event?" Then a pause of a millisecond and I thought, "Oh! THAT Event!"
As soon as I thought this, I experienced an internal burst of energy that came from my 3rd Chakra (just below my ribs) and rapidly expanded in all directions - like explosion fast. The energy was not external. It started internally. It wasn't a jolt of fear. Words don't describe it. It felt good, blissful. And HUGE.
I just laid there for about ten minutes waiting for the vibrating to decrease - it felt like I was ringing like a bell - my whole body was vibrating. The shock wave even had a sound - very much like the Seismic charges in Star Wars.
I NEVER have this stuff happen to me. Being a Medium is weird enough, but this was amazing. When I got up, I laughed because I'm so dense sometimes that the Universe has to tell me what is going on so that I can't argue about it. I got a sign. A real one. That said, "YOU ARE AT THE EVENT." And I still didn't realize what it meant at first. Sheesh. "Here's Your Sign."
I'm hoping that from now on when I open a clients' Soul Book, I'll see something about The Event - what is it - what happens next?
The only thing I know for sure is that it is 100% good. No fear. I'm happy that now if someone comes to me with a strange Energy experience, I've had one of my own. It helps with understanding.
PS - It wasn't a dream. I've been dreaming all my life. It wasn't a dream. I do not feel different from the experience in my day to day life, nor did it increase my abilities in a way I've noticed. I wish it made me more graceful!
I frequently get questions about Money. It makes sense as Money tends to have so much cultural weight that we can tie ourselves up in knots thinking about it. I find it helpful, when someone first poses a question about money, to ask them to define the qualifiers they inevitably add: enough, a comfortable amount, enough for me and some to be generous with, as much excess as possible (usually said with a laugh because this idea makes us uncomfortable).
It is also usually a question for the future, which has unique quirks.
But Money is a physical thing that represents Energy - and the representation is so ingrained that Money becomes Energy.
A bonus for a job well done may give you an actual jolt of happiness. You may feel indifference, or joy, or frustration when you get your regular salary. Paying taxes may make you feel sick to your stomach, or proud that you are paying your share. Money (Energy) has attached value due to where we are sending it, or from where we receive it, and our perceived value of that situation. Hmmmm.
Energy is an exchange - it is neither created nor destroyed. You put Energy into something, Energy returns to you in the form of money, or love, or joy, or however the Universe finds to return that Energy. It's not a 1:1 relationship, and certainly not a perfect exchange, but we expect a reaction from an action. If you are willing to accept love, joy, and Source Energy as your return, accept Money as well, and begin to think of it in this way.
During Readings, I often look at money questions with a Relationship Rose - a Psychic/Mediumship/Akashic Records symbolic representation with Roses that shows me you and your relationship to something. It can be a person, a job, or even money. I have been surprised, amused, and horrified by what I see when I look at how you are in relationship to your money.
My favorite one so far has been where the client is like a teenage girl with a crush. Interested, attracted, desperate, giggly, avoiding. To me, that's been the best representation of how many of us feel about money - like the first infatuations in life - clumsy, awkward, feeling undeserving and not worthy. We can't quite understand this strange being, but we like it and want to be with it more. But we are scared of it too - what if something goes wrong?
Because we exist, we are loved beyond measure - not for what we do or who we are. This love is Energy - available to us if we just accept it.
I invite you to think about how you view Money. Then take some time to think about how you view love, or joy, or Source Energy. All of these should be received easily (but we make it difficult). The challenge, the goal is to receive Energy in return for the Energy you are - as an Exchange - and in whatever form you desire.
In 2010, when I was still working as a nurse, I wrote a list.
Things I Learned in the ER:
1. The weirdest things fit in the weirdest places. Patient confidentiality prohibits any further detail. Use your imagination, and you still won't be able to encompass the full scope of this delightful human pastime. However, the excuses and explanations are all the same.
2. The ability to have olfactory premonition is very helpful (I would sometimes smell blood right before a trauma - independently verifiable by my former coworkers). Either I have some level of psychic gift, or I'm a vampire.
3. An artery can shoot blood all the way across a room.
4. Playing practical jokes on the doctors makes the day go by faster.
5. Surgeons don’t have the ER sense of humor.
6. People do not realize when their heart stops. If they are otherwise healthy and awake, they are incredibly surprised when I hit them in the chest, or shock them, and they yell “Ow! Hey! What’d you do THAT for?” (Well sir, your heart wasn’t beating).
7. Pain medicines do not take away all the pain; they make you not care that your leg is broken.
8. There is a light in your eyes that goes out when you die. Watching it is humbling.
9. People will accept suffering with an amazing amount of dignity and grace if they feel it is for a reason. Any reason.
10. If you tell a mother that her eighteen-year-old son is dead, you will remember her face and her name forever.
11. If you advocate for a mother to hold her seven-year-old child one more time, she will remember your face and your name forever.
Today, I want to address item #9 - "People will accept suffering with an amazing amount of dignity and grace if they feel it is for a reason. Any reason."
In other words, we want to know "WHY?"
I've never been one to accept the cultural answers of "We don't know why," or "No one can know why," or the worst, "There is no why."
Religious answers can be just as frustrating - "Only God knows why," and all the variations on that theme.
But Spiritual answers do no better when we apply the "Everything happens for a Reason," or "You chose this," to suffering and grief. YIKES!
Of all the answers, I do believe the last two are true - with qualifiers. You have to know on a Soul level what the answer is - you cannot just randomly tell people that one or both of those sayings is True, for Everyone, All of the Time - because that's not true. They are platitudes - sayings whipped out when we don't know what to say.
Some things are "meant" to happen, meaning there is a Soul Contract or agreement between parties for things to go down in a particular way or at a particular time. And then there are accidents. Every human has free will, and if you add these "rogue" elements of actions "off contract," you get a very complex thing called Life on Earth.
We do choose quite a lot of our situation. We make agreements with other Souls to experience things (loss, friction, connection) so sometimes it isn't about you. You are helping another Soul and willing to go through the things necessary for that to happen.
Imagine your Soul as this brave "Bring it on!" creature who takes on challenges in order to grow, assist, and experience. A human would never choose the loss of a child, for example, but your Soul agrees to go through it because your child's Soul wants a concentrated experience, a focus on existing joyfully and so chooses a short life. You agree to this experience as you will have a brilliantly joyful soul in your life, and her loss will bring you into closer connection with the Divine. Then you both have free will and so does everyone around you. Go.
It's all very complex - and utterly simple.
How do you find the answer to the Why in your life? Prayer (talking to God), and Meditation (listening to God) both go a long way in connecting you to your Soul and finding wisdom about your life.
The Akashic Records can show you contracts, background information, how you went about the process of planning this life, what events were accidental, and what was contracted. Your Soul Book can show you all of this because it is YOU, and you, as a Soul, understand the events and storyline of your life.
Time also allows a distance and softening of emotions so that you can look at events as they are and have fewer layers of judgment to peer through.
The question "Why?" is answered when you feel a sense of understanding, a resolution of the feeling that the answer is out there, but you aren't allowed to have it. We are all allowed to have our answers. It just takes a little asking, and looking, and listening.
The Universe has been beating me over the head for the past few months about asking the right questions, and more importantly, asking them in the right way.
When I read your Energy, I gather information. Sometimes, if you have a question about your Energy, your Energy will oblige and show me something more than what I initially saw. First, it is an Oracle; then it becomes responsive.
Similarly, when I use Mediumship, Loved Ones, Guides, and Angels often have messages - they function as Oracles. If we ask questions of them, they become responsive too. They can respond to broad or vague questions because they KNOW YOU, and they know what it is you want to know. The trick is to send it through me and not have my prism of perspective muck it up.
But - the Akashic Records work a little differently. Depending on where the information resides (and information can reside in multiple places), the Records require a little bit of question refinement.
You Soul Book lives in the Akashic Records and is part of your Soul. Asking it a vague question usually gets you nothing. Why? Well, unlike Loved Ones, Guides, and Angels who KNOW YOU, the Soul Book IS YOU. Therefore, it has every bit of information about you, and a vague question is impossible to answer. For example, if I say, "Tell me about your childhood," you, by convention, know I am asking you to give me the highlights, the relevant parts, not a minute by minute account. But your Soul Book does "remember" the minute by minute account, and is overwhelmed into silence by broad questions.
So, to get the right answers (meaning helpful ones) - you have to ask the right questions in the right way.
Now - how do you ask the right question in the right way if you have no idea what to ask?
That's where I come in. During the Akashic Records portion, we start with a big question and revise it together so that what you most want to know is what we ask the records. Let's look at an example of how you refine a question for the Akashic Records.
Me: What is your question for the Akashic Records?
Sally: Why do I have such a tense relationship with my Dad?
Me: Define "tense" or maybe talk about why you used that word.
Sally: I feel like he judges me all the time. I never let my guard down. It's like he tries to find something to criticize.
Me: So does he seem tense toward you or is that how you feel when you interact with him?
Sally: It might just be me, my side of the interaction.
Me: So let's look at Past Lives, Current Life, and the Relationship Map. In Past Lives, we'll ask, "Please show us any past experiences where Sally has felt criticized or judged by her Dad." Does that sound like the right question to you?
Me: In Current Life, do you want to look at various events or time frames for an explanation, or just more recent time?
Sally: I think just the past few months.
Me: So the question will be, "Please show us the last three interactions between Sally and her Dad where she felt criticized or judged." OK?
Me: And finally, in the Relationship Map, we can ask "Are there contracts in place that agree to this dynamic?" Let's leave this one a bit open-ended, and we can revise more once we get some answers. Is this the right question for you?
Sally: I think so, yes.
This is a generic example, (and unrealistically efficient) but it shows what I mean by "revising the question."
Now for those who think getting direction from you (your questions) influences what I see in the records, it doesn't. However, I can look for information "blindly," meaning I can ask the Record to show me the most crucial issue Sally needs to resolve or understand. Or during the Mediumship portion, I can get information from her Guides and Loved Ones and then ask the Record questions based on that information. But this is inefficient. I get SO much information this way. I want your 90-minute session to answer the questions you want to know. I may get them intuitively or I may not. I don't feel the need to prove how I get information, so I'm willing to cut to the chase and help you ask specific questions that not only get you answers but sometimes get you solutions too. It's just a different way of working. It won't appeal to everyone.
Learning to ask the right questions will help you in your Akashic Records reading, but my guidance frequently says that we, as a culture, need to get back to personal discernment, being inquisitive, and being responsible for our own experiences. I recommend practicing asking more specific questions whenever the opportunity presents itself. You may be surprised at the amount of information, knowledge, and wisdom you can gather in real life.
